An Internet censorship bills, SOPA and PIPA, are being considered by the U.S. government that would give them new powers to block Americans’ access websites that corporations don’t like. The bill lets corporations and the US government censor entire websites and cut sites off from advertising, payments and donations. As part of an effort to stop Internet piracy legislation, Wikipedia and other popular websites converted their homepages into virtual protest banners. This may not have a great impact in my country (Philippines), but it”ll surely affect the cyber world, which includes thousands of Filipino Netizens, and our internet-surfing ways. So help us stop Internet Censorship!
